Last week I had the privilege of traveling to New York City and the incredible historic Hudson River Valley in Upstate New York.
On the first night in New York City as I was walking from the famous Waldorf Astoria, the Beautiful Art Deco hotel, to Rockefeller Center, Madison Ave and the JP Morgan Building, I was in “Awe” by the history that surrounded me. I kept asking myself, “If these building could talk” what fabulous stories I would hear. Such beautiful Architectural details to inspire us in this historic/treasure city.
Driving to the Hudson River Valley I was amazed by the trees, the autumn color leaves. Beautiful landscape details.
Rich orange, brown and green.
Some of the highlights included Lyndhurst (A Gothic Revival Mansion) , Boscobel (Federal style Architecture) and Olana (Persian style Mansion).
I hope you enjoy some of the images and once again what a privilege to have so much HISTORY right in our backyard.
Of the hundreds of photos that I took of Architectures, Landscapes and furnishings, I have a treasure for our future design projects. I hope these photos inspire you to enjoy Architecture and Design throughout our great country, and also inspire you!
