Day one of a Very Special Design/Architecture Trip in Upper State NY – Historic Hudson River Valley – with Eleanor Schrader Schapa – Design and Architecture Historian, and Distinguished Instructor – Architectural and Interior Design Program – UCLA (of which I am had the pleasure of completing at the beginning of my carreer!).
Our visit to Boscobel (photo above) was a premier example of Federal Style architecture, and Federal period furniture — American! I kept wondering why I didn’t I study this house in design school? A little too much discussion then about Versailles. Here are two images if beautiful chairs that could be used in most interiors. Something wonderful about made in the USA!!!
So much gorgeous historical design/architecture right here to enjoy!
Moving on the the next of our destinations -!
